WASSA AMENFI EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY EMPOWERS PWDs WITH 100 LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT ITEMS

The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly has distributed 100 livelihood support items to Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) across the municipality, in a significant step towards promoting economic empowerment, social inclusion and sustainable livelihoods.
The initiative is designed to provide beneficiaries with practical tools and equipment to start new businesses, expand existing ventures, generate income and become more economically self-reliant.
The items distributed included deep freezers, fufu pounding machines, electrical sewing machines, manual sewing machines, ovens, and other livelihood-support equipment tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries.
The intervention forms part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to ensuring that Persons Living with Disabilities have access to opportunities that enable them to participate actively in economic activities and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Assembly for the support, describing the items as a valuable opportunity to improve their businesses, create sustainable sources of income and enhance their livelihoods.
The Assembly reiterated its commitment to advancing inclusive and equitable development, with a focus on creating opportunities for all residents and ensuring that no one is left behind in the municipality’s development agenda.
